After hearing Fleetwood Mac’s own live version of Albatross (from a BBC recording), I have eventually gathered the courage to publish the version of this song that we in the Nazz played. On the recording I heard with Fleetwood Mac, three guitarists participate. When we played Albatross, we had to make do with a single guitarist. So we played the song as a trio, compared to the five men in the original. Consider that!
This recording was made on a simple reel-to-reel tape recorder at a gig in Hedemora (Thanks, George Nordin!), and the year was most likely 1969. The line-up was probably not the one in the picture. It is probably Herbert Bodinger who plays the bass and Tommy Löwbäck who handles the drums. However, the guitarist is with one hundred percent certainty, yours truly. The guitar was an ES-345 from the mid-60s, which I have missed for 50 years by now. Sigh…
